General Information:
- Scouts are expected to live up to the Scout Oath, Scout Law and Outdoor Code at all times.
- New Scout – 1st time Dues – $110 which includes:
- Charter Dues
- Scout Handbook
- 313 Patch
- Shoulder Loops
- One Class B Troop T-Shirt
- Troop Neckerchief
- Boys Life Magazine (optional)
- Annual Dues – $60
- Charter Dues
- Boys Life Magazine (optional)
- Extra Troop T-Shirt – $10
- Uniforms:
- Class B – Troop T-Shirt/Jeans or Shorts for regular Scout meetings
- Class A – Official Scout uniform for Boards of Review, Court of Honor, when traveling, and at other times when announced.
- Add Neckerchief/Merit Badge Sash – Court of Honor, Flag ceremonies, and other formal occasions.
- Fundraisers – Troop participates in the annual BSA Popcorn Sale. Profits are recorded in “Scout Bucks” accounts to be used primarily to pay for summer camp and other scouting events.
What you need to get started:
- Boy Scout Handbook
- Zipper type notebook to hold your handbook, Troop roster and contact information, notebook paper, pens/pencils, merit badge worksheets, etc.
- Full Official Boy Scout uniform: Shirt, pants/shorts, socks, belt, neckerchief slide, shoulder loops, and appropriate patches.
- Troop T-shirt and neckerchief, Troop 313 patch will be provided up joining troop.
- Compass, Mess kit and utensils, Flashlight, Rain gear/Poncho
- Personal first aid kit
- Pocket knife (after you earn Totin’ Chip).
- Sleeping bag: recommend a lightweight 20-30 degree bag AND a fleece liner. Liner can be placed in the bag for our really cold weather campouts, or used alone for warm weather.
